They were hired by Koko's Squad to match their numbers, but were fired for shooting civilians in front of the KoKo's while escorting material, and then attempted to abduct KoKo for ransom to the HCLI, but were decimated when they engaged her Squad.

- Excalibur is reminiscent of second-rate mercenary groups operating in Africa during the Cold War (such as the "5th Commando" led by Costas Georgiou).
- Also, the appearance and character of Excalibur's operators are reminiscent of BlackWater, the American PMC.
